Terrible service , with complete unwillingness to help - DO NOT BUY FROM HERE ( I would give no Stars if it was possible) I purchased a sofa from the Colchester Store explaining that had just moved in to my new property the previous day and therefore had not yet changed my address at my bank, they explained this would be fine and they would have to use my old address for billing and the finance but would make a note and instruct that the sofa should be delivered to my new address. I left the store happy thinking great service . However, a skip ahead to the day of delivery for which I had had to take a day off work for I get a call from the delivery driver to say he is outside my property .... yes you got it hes at my old address. I explain that the sofa had instruction to be delivered to my new address (which incidentally is a 1 minute walk from my old address) But they refuse as the fiance is In The old address and therefore they can only deliver to that address. I then phone the store to resolve the issue to instruct the drivers to deliver the sofa to the new address but again they advise this will not be possible they are not allowed as the finance is in the previous Address I then ask to speak to a manger so they put me though to a head office who again says it will not be possible to deliver today as they have to deliver to the address the finance is taken out on . At this point I can actually see the delivery van due to my old address being so close! but No one was willing to make some phone calls to allow the delivery to happen despite the fact that the error was down to the stores mistake and the incompetentce of their sale person Claire.I do not know if they work on commission but I have been left feeling like I was mislead simply so claire could get a sale given that I have since been told that despite being advised the different addresses would be no problem this was clearly not the case.

PLEASE, PLEASE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! We paid a lot of money for our settee furniture from AHF and it's the second sofa we have brought from AHF. The sofa we brought in 2008 was fantastic and lasted 8 years before it started look a bit shabby just trough general wear. We brought a new 3 piece suite in December 2016, within six months one of the electric chairs just stopped working. Called AHF and they sent an engineer out who repaired a sliced wire caused by the mechanics of the recliner. Then within a month we had to call AHF out again as one of the arm rest supports had given way. AHF sent an engineer out and they fixed the issue. Now 17 months later two more of the arm rest supports have given way so we called AHF and they have refused to fix the two arm rests as they now don't see them as a manufacture default, even though it's the same default they fixed last year? They have stopped replying to my emails and sent me to the furniture ombudsman who I have we opened up as case with.The Ombudsman have rejected my case and I quote from the Ombudsman "as the retailer has provided a report that states that no manufacturing fault with the goods has been found and the nature of the issue is due to events within the home, in the absence of any counter evidence to prove otherwise" The Ombudsman and AHF have not replied to any emails we have sent, we have no choice but to seek legal advice . I really don't understand how it helps sending your customers to the ombudsman for an issue they have already fixed under a manufacturing default. AHF website advertises they offer a 10 year peace of mind cover for frames. In our case they haven't. Very poor customer care. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE- DO NOT GO THERE!!!
